PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Content Writer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of communications strategies. They are responsible for creating compelling and engaging content across various platforms to drive brand awareness, attract and retain clients, and support marketing initiatives.

PAY RATE: $630 per week

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Research, write, edit and proofread content for various channels including, but not limited to, our company website, internal and external blog posts, press releases, and social media.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team and attend team meetings to develop content strategies that align with overall marketing goals and objectives.
- Generate creative ideas for content that resonate with our target audience and differentiate the Civiconnect brand in the market.
- Edit and revise content personally created or created by Associates to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency.
- Conduct keyword research and optimize content for search engines (SEO) to increase visibility and organic traffic.
- Ensure all content is consistent in style, tone, and voice, and adheres to Civiconnect brand guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics using analytical tools to measure the effectiveness of content.
- Assist with other marketing initiatives and projects as needed.
- Other duties as required.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

- This position works within the Marketing Department
- This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Hybrid with frequent meetings through Microsoft Teams.
- May be required to come into the office once per week
- Mandatory attendance is required for technical and soft skills workshops.

SOFTWARE USED:

- Microsoft 365 programs, SEMrush

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Willingness to learn.
- Must respect the learning environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Please Note: No prior experience is required, however, knowledge of the following is beneficial. _
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma or equivalent in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field
- Previous experience in communication, marketing or research roles
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be between 18-29 years of age.
- Must be enrolled in part-time or full-time studies at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must be able to work full-time for a duration of 14 weeks.

Must be a member of at least ONE of the following demographics:

You will need to provide certain administrative documents if offered employment including:

- Proof of ID (copy of Birth Certificate, Passport, Permanent Resident card).
- Proof of Enrollment letter from Registrar's office.
- Completed TD1 & TD1ON form.
- Direct deposit slip from a financial institution.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
