**Overview**
The Site Superintendent is primarily responsible for all aspects of the project on worksites. Including pre-planning, organizing, and directing construction sites from start to finish. The Superintendent monitors subcontractors to ensure that duties are being completed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

**Qualifications**
- Able to read building specifications and blueprints
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, materials, and components
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems
- Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to perform material and labour estimates
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations
- Demonstrated ability to identify scarce resources and effectively manage them
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with co workers
- Efficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and subtrades
- Proven ability to take initiative and confirm the accuracy of information that is sent and received
- Adaptable and receptive to changing circumstances
- Effective time management skills
- Organized and able to prioritize responsibilities
- Able to effectively communicate with management, trades, and customers
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

**Education & Experience**
- Minimum of (4) years’ residential construction experience with some of that time in a supervisory capacity
- Journeyperson Carpentry would be an asset
- Valid driver’s license

**Functional Responsibilities**
- Work with managers to prepare and plan construction schedules and monitor progress
- Organize and coordinate the activities of subcontractors
- Keep job sites clean and organized
- Ensure that proper materials and quantities of materials are onsite each day prior to daily work commencing
- Supervise, coordinate, and direct all construction workers on the worksite
- Ensure the overall safety of all workers on site by performing regular checks and inspections
- Attend project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and report on construction progress
- Become proficient using the Builders software and scheduling program. Update the reports daily with notes and photos.

**Working Conditions**
- Outdoors at various construction sites in Edmonton and area
- Walking and standing for long periods of time
- Require physical ability for site conditions (ie. lifting and moving materials)
- Climbing ladders and working at heights
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (ie: hard hat, safety boots, etc.)
- Noise level varies based on site activity
- Additional hazards associated with the construction industry
- Willing to use personal vehicle with reimbursement from Rosecroft Homes

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
