**Unicity’s History**

Unicity began with one product: Bios Life (later named “Balance”). And while the vision was big, the company came from small beginnings. Bios Life provided a unique way to support healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels. The product was originally placed in retail stores throughout the United States before moving into a person-to-person sales model. **The CTO We Need**

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on CTO that has successfully scaled both architecture and product engineering teams operating with a growing global customer base. This position will have a key role in the building and operating a global team and requires expertise and experience in supporting a digital product growth strategy thru both scaling architecture, teams, and processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Lead a talented product and technology organization consisting of individuals who work together with a shared mission and goals, and collaborate with other departments in the achievement of company goals.
- Manage the product development process to ensure the development of reliable and scalable software on-time and on-budget as well as the technical operations team that runs the customer-facing and business-facing web sites and tools.
- Lead with a style that is hands-on, detail-oriented and metrics-driven without micro-managing or being overbearing.
- Support and continually improve an agile product development process.
- Show thought leadership for improving the overall system goals of stability, performance, and availability.
- Support the implementation of a CI/CD pipeline utilizing needed automation and architecture to de-risk software deployments over time.
- Prepare formal communications documents such as outage reports, product and project plans, status updates and long-term planning documents.
- Develop a product portfolio management approach to be used to assess product lifecycle initiatives and product success on an ongoing basis.
- Be organized and forward-thinking to ensure a quick response to rapidly evolving business needs.
- Actively manage vendors associated with production colocation facilities.
- Live the Unicity core values, support our distributors and customer, and seamlessly integrate with the Unicity environment and culture.
- Support an open and highly collaborative work environment and lead in a manner that fosters high engagement, performance and commitment among all members of the product engineering and enterprise technology team.
