**Part-time relief milker required on a 180-cow dairy 15 minutes southeast of Red Deer. Previous experience working with livestock is necessary however**, **training can be provided in some areas.**
**Job description**:
Milking through a double 10 parlor, cleaning and maintaining a hygienic milking environment, movement of cattle through parlour, feed calves, scrape manure with skid steer, assist with herd health management, identify herd health issues such as lameness, sickness etc. and also ensure milk quality by doing milk control and identity mastitis, etc.
**Work experience**:
Preferably previous milking experience, but other farming or livestock experience is also acceptable.
**Skills**:
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to work part of a team
- Patience and ability to work with livestock
- Drivers licence
- Be able to get up early; **Milking starts at 4AM and 4PM**
- Communicate clearly in english
- Willing to work occasional weekends
- Must be in good physical condition
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week
**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
