Votre rôle:
Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ou une reporter qui souhaite servir les auditoires de CBC dans la région de Waterloo. Vous avez de fortes capacités pour la réflexion critique ainsi qu’une aptitude reconnue pour dénicher la nouvelle. Vous vous intéressez vivement à l’art du reportage sur différentes plateformes (numérique, radio et vidéo), et vous avez une aptitude confirmée pour l’expérimentation de nouveaux formats et de nouvelles techniques journalistiques.

Vous possédez des compétences exceptionnelles pour la rédaction, et vous avez de l’expérience pour faire du journalisme d’initiative et débusquer des histoires originales. Vous explorerez les sujets sous tous leurs angles et présenterez des reportages reflétant cette région complexe dans toute sa diversité.

Vous devrez vous assurer que les normes journalistiques de CBC/Radio-Canada sont respectées, que nos reportages sont justes, équilibrés, exacts, sérieux et pertinents, et qu’ils reflètent les communautés que nous servons. Vous approfondirez le traitement de nos sujets originaux et de nos dossiers de journalisme d’enquête, et veillerez également à ce que nous parlions de ce qui importe le plus aux auditoires de toute la région.

Vous n’hésitez pas à utiliser diverses sources pour creuser la nouvelle : documents, données, lois sur l’accès à l’information, sources confidentielles, public, etc. Votre maîtrise de l’art du récit sera mise à profit dans des reportages en direct pour des bulletins de nouvelles et des émissions à la radio locale. Vous cherchez activement des moyens de faire connaître les enjeux de Kitchener-Waterloo par l’intermédiaire d’autres émissions locales et réseau.

Dans la reconfiguration actuelle de l’industrie, les nouvelles locales et les sujets traitant des communautés sont plus importants que jamais. Vous comprenez la composition de la région et la diversité de sa population, et vous reflétez toutes les communautés dans les sujets que vous couvrez. Vous jugez important d'offrir une tribune aux personnes et communautés sous-représentées dans vos reportages.

Vous avez l’esprit d’équipe, et vous favorisez activement une culture de travail axée sur l’inclusion et le respect.

Le travail est régi par les Normes et pratiques journalistiques (NPJ) de CBC/Radio-Canada.

Votre horaire pourrait comprendre, occasionnellement ou régulièrement, des quarts de travail qui commencent à 7 h ou qui finissent à 19 h, ainsi qu’un quart le week-end (régulièrement ou en rotation).

Tâches principales:
- Produire du contenu journalistique pour une variété de plateformes : web, radio et vidéo.- Prendre des photos et tourner des vidéos de qualité dans diverses situations, en fonction des besoins.- Recueillir du contenu audio de grande qualité.- Adapter le contenu en fonction de la plateforme.- Publier des contenus sur notre site web.- Suivre les développements dans l’actualité par l’intermédiaire de diverses sources.- Tisser et entretenir des liens avec des sources pour se tenir au courant des enjeux et événements.- Prendre les dispositions pour réaliser des entrevues et les mener.- Proposer des sujets et des idées de contenus et de traitement créatif.- À l’occasion, valider ou réviser des reportages et des textes rédigés par des collègues.

Profil recherché:
- Diplôme universitaire ou l’équivalent, et au moins trois ans d’expérience récente en rédaction de nouvelles pour une publication professionnelle en ligne d’envergure ou un grand diffuseur.- Expérience nécessaire pour reconnaître d’éventuels problèmes juridiques ou manquements aux politiques journalistiques, et capacité de les régler.- Parfaite compréhension des- Normes et pratiques journalistiques
