Staff Responsibilities
Job Posting: Shift Lead (Glow Event)
Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and organized Shift Lead to oversee operations at Glow, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and smooth coordination among the team. The Shift Lead will manage staff, monitor guest flow, and act as the key point of contact during shifts. This role involves leading the daily setup, operation, and tear down, as well as maintaining communication between entertainers, vendors, security, and first aid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign specific tasks or zones to staff members as needed.
- Oversee the daily setup, operation, and tear down of Glow.
- Monitor guest flow to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns, resolving any issues that arise promptly.
- Act as the liaison between the LDE team, entertainers, vendors, performers, security, and first aid services.
- Cover staff breaks and ensure adequate staffing throughout the shift.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the team, communicating with the manager on call as necessary.
- Keep detailed records of incidents, visitor feedback, staff attendance, and shift activities.
- Provide a shift report for management at the end of each shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in events or customer service.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends and the holiday season
Job Description: Glow Event Staff Member
Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and versatile staff members to join the Glow team. In this role, you will rotate between various positions, ensuring a festive and memorable experience for all guests. You will serve as a Greeter, Santa Attendant, Kids' Corner Attendant, and Draw Barrel Attendant, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the safety and flow of activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeter:
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and festive atmosphere.
- Engage with guests, offering smiles and a positive demeanor to enhance their experience.
- Answer questions regarding event schedules, attractions, and directions to specific areas.
- Hand out event materials and flyers as needed.
- Monitor the event area for potential safety concerns and report them to management.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints, escalating unresolved issues to the Shift Lead.
Santa Attendant:
- Assist Santa and Mrs. Claus by escorting them from the greenroom to their designated area.
- Manage the line for Santa visits, ensuring an efficient and enjoyable experience for families.
- Take photos for guests with Santa upon request.
- Hand out candy canes to children visiting Santa.
- Open and close the Santa line at designated times.
Kids' Corner Attendant:
- Oversee activities at the AstroJump and inflatable obstacle course.
- Ensure the craft tables remain tidy and assist children with crafts when requested.
- Maintain general housekeeping of the Kids' Corner to ensure a clean, fun space for kids.
Draw Barrel Attendant:
- Manage the draw barrel, explaining the nightly draw and assisting guests with filling out forms.
- Ensure all draw entries are collected and organized for the drawing process.
- Hand out stickers and other prizes to attending families.
Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing, and able to engage with guests of all ages.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage different activities and roles.
