**Title**:Team Leader**

**R**eports to: Manufacturing Supervisor or Manager**

**Shift: 6:45a.m. to 2:45p.m.**

**Location: 214 Bayview Drive, Barrie**

**Department: Fabrication**

**Job Purpose**: Perform as a hands-on interactive leader supporting Manufacturing Leadership. Focus on achieving and practicing the skills required to motivate a group of Associates enabling them to achieve their pre-determined goals and expectations

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- Assists the Manufacturing leadership in eliminating road blocks to production.-
- Conveys information from Associates to management and from management to Associates.-
- Promotes lean manufacturing principles within the department.-
- Assists in training Associates in various aspects of safety and manufacturing processes.-
- Helps to ensure compliance of company policies and procedures, ISO and all Government legislation including the Human Rights Code, OHSA and ESA.-
- Works with the Team Leader on problem solving departmental issues and then implementing the appropriate solutions-
- Supports the department in keeping an accurate account of measurable.- Works in a relevant production department as a working associate when required

**Education and Experience**:
- High School Diploma, OR 4 - 5 years' relevant work experience with minimum literacy in English and Math confirmed-
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset.-
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environmentWilling and able to learn to learn computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as Visual Manufacturing or another type of MRP system-
- Must have a willingness to learn new skills and methods.-
- Must be able to demonstrate that they have the ability to lead a team.-
- Must show that they have the ability to teach others**Specialized Skills for Fabrication **Leaders**:
- Blueprint Comprehension - Part orientation, inside outside measurements, reference vs critical-
- Material Identification - Gauges, Finishes, Types (hot rolled, cold rolled, stainless steel, aluminized, galvanneal, aluminum)-
- Use and Read Measuring Tools (tapes, calipers, protractors, fixtures, go/no-go gauges)-
- Tooling Understanding - punches and clearances, forming tools (90’s, 30’s, radius)-
- Basic Machine Understanding - limits and capabilities of Turret punches, brake presses (eg. radius forms are better in Allsteels, proper utilization of off cuts for lasers, pega’s)**Ignite your Career, Some of our competitive benefits include**:
