Reporting to the Vice President, Environment and Compliance, this National Director leads regional managers toward environmental management system goals. The work focuses on limiting environmental impacts within the liquids hazardous waste business while preventing non-compliance. Success requires hazardous waste expertise, regulatory knowledge, analytical thinking, and effective team management across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Standardize regulatory requirement tracking across regions and report improvement opportunitiesOversee national environmental compliance audits and follow-up processesPrioritize site environmental issues and improvement projectsBuild relationships with regulators and monitor legislative trendsExpand permits and licenses across regional operationsRequirements:
12-plus years of hazardous waste industry experience7-plus years in environmental or regulatory complianceExpertise in federal and provincial environmental legislationRelated post-secondary degree in an environmental disciplineExperience building and managing goal-oriented teamsApply your compliance leadership, regulatory expertise, and hazardous waste knowledge as GESI’s National Environmental Compliance Director in Canada.
