Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer (SDET BE) with a strong background in software testing, particularly in Java and API automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with tools such as Karate, RestAssured, and Postman, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective testing strategies and CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for REST APIs using Postman and RestAssured.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using Java and Karate.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Participate in CI/CD processes to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline.
- Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Provide regular reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience in API testing using Postman.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks, particularly Karate.
- Experience with RestAssured for API testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of other testing tools and frameworks.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
- Proven track record of delivering high quality software products.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
