This is a highly hands-on, business-facing role working directly with traders, middle and back-office users, and technical teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable independently digging into existing tools, troubleshooting issues as they arise, translating non-technical user needs into solutions, and delivering quick wins alongside short-term project work. Develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot Excel-based applications and tools used by business users Assess existing Excel tools to determine where they should be improved, fixed, replaced, or retired Work directly with traders and other business users to understand requirements, investigate issues, and translate business needs into practical technical solutions Develop new tools and small enhancements using Excel, Python, and SQL to address evolving business requirements Balance short-term project work, new requirements, production support, and quick-turn enhancement requests in a busy environment Collaborate with other developers and IT teams while contributing to the broader tools team's initiatives and priorities 2–5 years of hands-on Excel development experience, including building Excel-based tools or applications beyond standard end-user functionality such as formulas and pivot tables ~ Demonstrated experience developing and supporting Excel applications used within a business function or vertical ~ Hands-on development experience with Python ~ Working knowledge of SQL, including querying and working with relational data ~ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a willingness to dig into unfamiliar applications, data, and processes ~ Strong communication skills and ability to guide non-technical users through requirements and solutions while also collaborating effectively with technical teams ~ Experience with VBA development ~ Experience supporting tools used by traders, middle-office, or back-office teams ~ Experience modernizing, replacing, or retiring legacy Excel-based applications Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
