We are seeking a qualified Educational Assistant for a 1.0 FTE permanent role, effective immediately. This position requires a two-year post-secondary diploma and direct experience with children facing physical and behavioral challenges. Your teamwork skills and technology proficiency will enhance both in-person and remote learning environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with multiple physical and behavioral needs
- Implement behavior modification strategies in the classroom
- Utilize technology to facilitate remote and hybrid learning
- Collaborate with teachers to develop individualized student plans
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Two-year diploma in relevant field (Youth Worker, etc.)
- Experience with children having behavior exceptionalities
- Knowledge of augmentative communication methods
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle access
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential
