Support food production at the House of Commons in the Parliamentary Precinct, assembling, packaging, and distributing meals for assigned stations. French or English required.
The Kitchen Helper works in the Food Production Facility supporting parliamentary food services. Responsibilities cover meal preparation, plating, packaging, and distribution for cafeterias, dining services, and catering functions. This temporary seasonal, on-call, or determinate assignment requires weekend and evening availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food production at an assigned station
- Assemble meals for parliamentary food services
- Package prepared foods for distribution
- Distribute meals across assigned service locations
- Support catering and gourmet food production activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or acceptable equivalent combination
- Food handler’s certification
- Relevant high-volume cafeteria or deli preparation experience
- Experience preparing, plating, and packaging meals
- French or English language knowledge
