Our public sector client is seeking a Designer / Front-End Developer (5+ years of experience) to support AI-Native SDLC initiatives using user-centered design, front-end development, generative AI, and modern software development practices
Join an innovation initiative focused on augmenting the Software Development Lifecycle through the responsible use of generative AI, automation, user-centered design, and emerging software development practices. This role supports the design and development of digital experiences, prototypes, interfaces, and AI-enabled workflows supporting an aquatic ecosystem mission. The Designer / Front-End Developer will collaborate with designers, developers, project leadership, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive experiences, prototype concepts, test solutions, and contribute to implementation in an evolving environment.
Must Haves
- 5+ years in UI/UX , digital design, front-end development, or a combination of these disciplines
- Strong experience with Figma , including wireframing, prototyping, component-based design, design systems, and design handoff
- Design of responsive , accessible, and user-centered digital interfaces
Nice to Have
- Experience working on software development, digital transformation, or innovation initiatives
- Experience with Claude and other generative AI tools to support design, prototyping, research, front-end development, documentation, and workflow automation
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools within an SDLC environment
- Experience developing interactive prototypes and translating Figma designs into production-ready front-end components
- Familiarity with Agile, iterative, or other modern software delivery methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces, workflows, prototypes, and digital experiences based on project requirements and stakeholder needs
- Create and maintain wireframes, high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, components, and design system assets in Figma
- Collaborate with developers to translate designs into responsive, accessible, and reusable front-end components
- Use Claude and other generative AI tools to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, front-end development, documentation, and iterative problem solving
- Document design decisions, requirements, user flows, findings, recommendations, and lessons learned
