Lead English As A Second Language initiatives at TDSB as an Acting Program Officer. Oversee operations and support quality programming in a diverse educational environment. In this acting position, you will manage ESL program sites, ensuring compliance with curriculum standards and learners' needs. Your focus will be on hiring and training staff, enhancing instructional quality, and coordinating resources to foster learner engagement. This role requires a strong background in adult education and ESL practices to ensure effective program delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of ESL program sites
- Support instructors in implementing learner-centred curricula
- Manage hiring, training, and evaluation of staff
- Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching
- Ensure compliance with TDSB policies and guidelines
- Three years of experience in an ESL environment
- TESL Certification and adult education knowledge
- Strong financial management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with online program delivery and LMS
