This experienced Pipelayer role focuses on water, sewer, and storm system construction. You will work in trenches with the Topman and excavator operator, supporting safe, accurate pipe installation. The work includes bedding, leveling, compaction, fittings, and backfill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install water, sewer, and storm pipes
- Prepare trench bottoms through bedding, leveling, and compacting
- Align and connect pipe to proper line and grade
- Install manholes, catch basins, and fittings
- Check elevations using lasers or grade rods
Requirements:
- Two to five-plus years underground utility construction experience
- Strong knowledge of pipe installation methods and trench safety
- Ability to read basic construction drawings
- Experience working in trenches around heavy equipment
- Physical fitness for demanding construction work
