Ovation Healthcare is seeking experienced inpatient coders with a minimum of three years of coding background. In this fully remote role, you will review medical records and assign accurate diagnostic codes (ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRGs). This position demands meticulous attention to detail to ensure proper reimbursement and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Apply coding classification standards to medical documentation
- Submit provider queries for documentation discrepancies
- Perform quality assessments of medical records
- Research and resolve errors in coding processes
- Abstract and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes
- AHIMA/AAPC Credentials required
- Minimum three years of coding experience
- Inpatient and surgical coding expertise needed
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to maintain a 95% QA accuracy rate
