Lead customer service and store operations as an Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in a full-time retail position. Support employees, merchandise, and cash controls.
This Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager with supervision, scheduling, training, merchandise presentation, paperwork, and deposits. The position includes cashiering, stocking, inventory controls, planograms, and customer assistance. It also provides store management support during the Store Manager's absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead superior customer service and operate registers
- Open and close the store at least two days weekly
- Assist with employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings
- Receive, stock, rotate, and display merchandise
- Maintain cash controls, paperwork, deposits, and inventory accuracy
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year retail experience preferred
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to perform cash handling and mathematical calculations
