Join Volker Stevin as a Seasonal Highway Maintenance Operator in Olds, AB, from October through April. Safeguard roadways while ensuring safety and operational efficiency. This seasonal role requires hands-on work under the supervision of the Foreman. Ideal candidates will need a valid Class 3 or 1 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement while promoting a strong safety culture. Your expertise in operating heavy equipment and snowplow operations will be invaluable in maintaining highway functionality. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote safety culture and maintain a productive work environment
- Ensure proper signage and traffic control in hazardous conditions
- Maintain and inspect equipment, logs, and reports
- Safely transport hazardous materials in emergency situations
- Operate heavy equipment as needed to support projects
- Class 3 or 1 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract
- Experience with operating light, medium, and heavy machinery
- Preferred 50+ hours of snowplow operation experience
- Ability to work on call and night shifts
- Must pass drug testing and fit for work assessments
