Elevate your engineering career as a Stationary Engineer Operator at the Toronto Water, Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant. Full-time roles focus on advanced water equipment operation and maintenance while ensuring compliance with standards. The City of Toronto seeks two qualified Stationary Engineer Operators who hold a Certification as a Stationary Engineer Third Class or better. You will manage pumps, pressure vessels, and HVAC systems, guiding team efforts to meet process objectives. Previous experience with automation systems and compliance knowledge is essential for success in this key role. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain advanced water treatment equipment
- Direct staff and optimize team performance
- Inspect and analyze equipment for efficiency
- Utilize control systems to ensure performance
- Make operational decisions in emergencies
- Current Certificate of Qualification as a Stationary Engineer
- Valid Class G Driver's License in Ontario
- Grade 12 secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities
