Advance your career as a Controls Engineer with VOLCANIX AUTOMATION, working on Tier 1 automotive projects in Canada, the USA, and Mexico. Engage in programming, troubleshooting, and system optimization in diverse environments. Join VOLCANIX AUTOMATION to support automotive automation systems including robotic welding and material handling. This role requires you to perform both on-site support and remote programming. You'll be integral in power-on integrations, commissioning, and troubleshooting within strict customer-specific standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems
- Support production launches and cycle-time improvements
- Integrate systems with robots and safety devices
- Perform system validation and customer acceptance tests
- Collaborate with controls and robotics teams
- 4+ years in automotive automation industry
- Strong PLC programming skills (Allen-Bradley/Mitsubishi)
- Experience with industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, IO Link)
- Ability to follow detailed customer programming standards
- Willingness to travel across North America
