Support vital community services as a part-time Donations Driver with the National Diabetes Trust. Your role will help collect clothing and household items for fundraising efforts. As part of this essential team, you will execute daily routes and pickups from homes, ensuring all donations contribute to positive change. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to complete inspections and maintain logs while engaging with donors. This position leverages your driving expertise and enhances community outreach. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate such vehicles safely under regulations
- Execute daily heavy lifting and unloading of donations
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch throughout shifts
- Provide courteous service and message cards to donors
- Submit accurate trip logs and documentation
- Full Class 5 license with 5 years driving experience
- Proficient in loading and unloading 10-50 lbs
- Strong organizational and routing skills
- Excellent verbal communication with varied audiences
- Valid, clean driver’s abstract with no recent violations
