Humber River Health is recruiting a temporary Registered Practical Nurse for our Surgical Inpatient Unit, set in North West Toronto. This role requires a commitment to patient health teaching, medication administration, and various nursing skills. Candidates should possess current RPN registration and a dedication to equitable healthcare practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in the Surgical Inpatient Unit
- Administer medications and wound care as needed
- Perform intravenous therapy and blood transfusions
- Educate patients on health and recovery
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Graduate from a two-year RPN program
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BCLS certification valid
- Minimum one year of acute surgical experience
- Basic computer skills with Meditech knowledge
