Transform lives as a Healthcare Sleep Technician with Medigas in Barrie or Newmarket, Ontario. This role focuses on conducting sleep studies for patients dealing with various sleep disorders. You’ll play a vital role in patient interaction, including preparing and guiding them through polysomnography studies. Responsibilities include monitoring patients overnight, troubleshooting equipment, and completing essential documentation. You’ll also conduct follow-up with patients regarding their appointments and overall satisfaction with the services provided. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute polysomnography tests and perform patient setup
- Provide patient education and answer questions clearly
- Titrate therapies like CPAP under required circumstances
- Troubleshoot technical issues for high-quality results
- Maintain lab cleanliness after each study
- Degree or diploma in a relevant health discipline
- Actively pursuing RPsgT certification
- Current BCLS certification
- Preference for candidates with 1+ years in a sleep lab
- Ability to troubleshoot basic tech and equipment
