Elevate your career as a Senior Mine Water Quality Modeller with Stantec in British Columbia. Bring your expertise in GoldSim and water management to influence environmental projects. In this pivotal role, you'll join Stantec’s Environmental Services team while ideally located in Victoria, Sidney, or Burnaby. The successful candidate should possess a robust understanding of mine water quality predictions and experience in field programs, environmental assessments, and permitting activities, primarily focused on mining projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Support geochemical and water quality components of various projects
• Promote and participate in safety and environmental programs
• Develop mine water quality models using GoldSim software
• Serve as technical lead for complex water modeling projects
• Mentor and guide junior modelers for professional growth
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of consulting experience in mining sector
• Advanced degree in Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, or related field
• Proven experience with GoldSim and contaminant transport modeling
• Professional registration (P.
Geo. or P.
Eng.) required
