This principal-level engineer owns technical resolution for critical global customer issues. The work spans embedded software, firmware, hardware, networking stacks, operating systems, and applications. You will coordinate Development, QA, Product Management, and Support while mentoring engineers and improving diagnostic practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical triage, prioritization, escalation, and end-to-end issue resolutionDrive root-cause analysis across software, firmware, hardware, and networksGuide reproducible failure investigations through validation and closureDevelop AI-assisted troubleshooting workflows and diagnostic automationChampion quality, reliability, supportability, and knowledge-reuse improvementsRequirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical discipline10+ years of software development and demonstrated technical leadershipExpert C/C++ skills with Java and Python proficiencyDeep Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, networking, and embedded-systems expertiseStrong customer communication, negotiation, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skillsBring wireless connectivity expertise, advanced debugging judgment, and customer leadership to Extreme Networks’ most complex technical issues.
