Support student learning as a part-time Educational Assistant at Shaunavon High School. This role focuses on fostering inclusion and a positive environment within the classroom.
The Chinook School Division is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to work 5.5 hours daily in a supportive educational setting. You will assist students in their educational programs, help create a welcoming atmosphere, and participate in team efforts that emphasize diversity and inclusion. Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with individual educational programs for students
- Collaborate with team members in a dynamic classroom
- Support children's health and hygiene needs as certified
- Perform necessary physical lifts and transfers
- Execute other assigned duties effectively
Requirements:
- Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience
- Ability to engage with young children effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changes and diverse needs
- Commitment to truth, reconciliation, and culture respect
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check
