Shape and advance legal talent strategies as the Director at Gowling WLG. This strategic senior role focuses on engagement, performance management, and career development for associates. As a key leader within the Corporate Department, you will oversee recruitment and integration processes for associates. This position demands collaboration with various departments and requires a proactive approach to managing talent initiatives in line with our Firm’s strategic vision. Bring your passion for legal talent management and contribute to building a thriving workplace. Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead associate career development and mentor programs
- Administer performance management and compensation reviews
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes for new associates
- Monitor associate workloads and support efficient team dynamics
- Partner with leadership to execute strategic talent initiatives
- JD or Bachelor’s degree in law required
- Minimum five years of experience in a law firm setting
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
- Experience with mentorship and talent development programs
