The Adventure Ahead

As the Senior Product Engineer II, you bring expert-level proficiency across backend and frontend development with the ability to design, build, and evolve complete features from data and service layers through to the customer experience. You own complex work end-to-end, navigate confidently across system boundaries, and reduce unnecessary dependencies by taking responsibility for the complete technical solution.

Beyond your technical output, you function as the de facto technical anchor of your squad. You don't hold a management title, but you drive technical direction, mentor peers, coordinate across functions, and ensure your team ships high-quality software consistently. You're the person others turn to when systems get complex, priorities conflict, or delivery is at risk.

The Day-to-Day

  • Architect the Future: Drive complex, multi-sprint technical initiatives across frontend product experiences, backend services, and API contracts, and platform integration layers, proactively managing scope, dependencies, and technical risk.

  • Ship End-to-End: Design data models and service contracts, build backend and integration changes, and deliver seamless frontend experiences as a single owner across the full customer journey.

  • Set the Standard: Write exemplary full-stack code, establish clear integration boundaries, and make durable architectural decisions that keep systems scalable, maintainable, and easy to evolve.

  • Anchor the Squad: Scope timelines, break down complex work, coordinate dependencies across product and platform teams, and maintain continuous delivery momentum across multiple sprints.

  • Level Up the Team: Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions while raising the bar for automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and technical-debt management.

  • Partner for Impact: Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, SRE, and platform engineers to translate customer problems into reliable solutions and clearly communicate tradeoffs across frontend, services, and platform integrations.

Your Superpowers

  • Full-Stack Engineering Expertise: 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in building and evolving complex applications across frontend, backend services, APIs, and data layers, with the depth to make strong technical decisions across the full stack.

  • End-to-End Ownership: A proven track record of owning complete technical initiatives across frontend, backend, and integration layers from architectural design through production deployment.

  • System Design Expertise: Strong understanding of service-oriented architectures, REST APIs, event-driven systems, cloud services such as AWS, and the architectural patterns required to build scalable and maintainable applications.

  • Integration Fluency: Comfortable navigating existing backend systems and unfamilia
