The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for answering client and courier phone calls, dispatching courier pick-ups and sorting outgoing reports for our courier services. This is a great role for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Status: Full time

Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

This vacancy is for an existing position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming client calls for pickups and dispatching information to the assigned courier route
  • Managing client questions and concerns regarding schedules, supplies etc.
  • Receive and sort internal mail; receive and sort reports and distribute them into the correct route mail slot
  • Perform various administrative duties including but not limited to: receiving and recording incoming cash deposits, maintaining Logistics Dispatch spreadsheets, preparing specialty supplies and labels, etc.
  • Record and report any missed pickups and act as the initial investigator; track and investigate missing totes
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for Couriers for route issues, scanners, vehicle maintenance etc.
  • Support and participate in Health & Safety initiatives, including our EHS team, Fire Marshall duties and general H&S mandates
  • Provide daily hand-off updates including, but not limited to: received absence or late calls, missed pickups, scanner sign-in, requested vehicle maintenance, schedule changes etc.

What you bring to the role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 2 years logistics and/or dispatch experience or relevant work experience.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills required with Microsoft Office (including MS Word, Excel) – Ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs consistently to shoulder height. repetitive movements and bending, sitting, turning and kneeling and walking as required
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment preferred
