Support medication dispensing at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver as a part-time Pharmacy Assistant handling sterile compounding and packaging.
Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services brings together Fraser Health, Provincial Health Services, Providence, and Vancouver Coastal Health. Under pharmacy services supervision, this position supports pharmaceutical care through medication distribution, inventory control, automated dispensing systems, and clerical work. The role includes complex sterile product compounding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill patient-specific and non-patient-specific medication containers
- Compound sterile hazardous and non-hazardous products
- Operate packaging and automated pharmacy machinery
- Maintain automated dispensing cabinet settings and records
- Manage inventory, wardstock, and medication distribution records
Requirements:
- Grade 12 completion
- Recognized Pharmacy Assistant course graduation or equivalent experience
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to organize work and operate related equipment
- Physical ability to perform position duties
