Become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, and support compassionate resident care in a part-time capacity. Your contribution will make a difference in a supportive environment. At Ocean View, LPNs work closely with RNs to provide direct patient care. You will perform medication administration, engage with residents and families, and participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to nursing. This role is pivotal to fostering a safe and dignified living environment for our residents. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute direct nursing responsibilities with compassion
- Administer medications following nursing protocols
- Maintain communication with residents, families, and staff
- Participate in periodic 24-hour shifts across programs
- Employ proper techniques for lifting and moving
- Valid registration with Nova Scotia's Nursing Regulator
- Proven experience in pharmacology
- Capable of working varied shifts, including nights
- Exceptional verbal and written communication ability
- Enthusiasm for teamwork and diversity in healthcare
