As a Pharmacy Student, you will gain real-world training that complements academic learning in a retail and community pharmacy. The experience develops communication with patients, employees, and other healthcare workers. It also introduces patient counseling, over-the-counter products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge customers approaching the Pharmacy
- Deliver attentive pharmacy and customer service
- Meet customer confidentiality and consent management requirements
- Stay clearly identifiable to the public
- Help keep customers central to service
Requirements:
- Pharmacy student pursuing future pharmacist practice
- Interest in community pharmacy operations
- Interest in developing patient counseling skills
- Interest in learning retail pharmacy management skills
- Ability to support privacy requirements consistently
Develop pharmacy communication and counseling foundations while delivering customer-focused service within Shoppers Drug Mart’s community setting.
