Lead and grow a team of 8 software engineers, roboticists, and applied AI specialists. You own hiring, coaching, career development, and a culture of execution and quality. Partner with Product to define the roadmap that moves machine programming from expert work to an assisted experience, then an autonomous one: sequence generation, self-diagnosis, correction, cycle optimization. Architect the agentic systems: LLM orchestration, tooling, sandboxed execution, simulation, verification loops, deterministic guardrails, automated evals, and regression testing on generated code. No generated program should ever put an operator, a robot, or a part at risk. You define the validation tiers, the testing on real hardware, and the criteria for going to production. Go deep on hardware and software integration: actuators, MachineMotion controllers, robots (UR, Fanuc CRX), vision, industrial I/O. Make MachineLogic an open platform: Python SDK, developer tooling, extensibility, and an experience that serves the expert integrator as well as the user who has never written a line of code. Work with customers and field teams: Applications, Service, Sales, and integrators. Ship continuously: healthy team rituals, a predictable delivery cadence, technical debt under control, quality measured in production and not in a demo. 8+ years in software development, including 2+ years managing or technically leading a team of developers. ~ Real technical range. Python and/or TypeScript, distributed systems, APIs, real time or near real time. ~ An understanding of physical systems: robotics, motion control, PLC, industrial automation, or a related embedded domain. A talent for growing people: recruiting, coaching, giving direct and useful feedback, building the conditions where strong engineers do their best work. ~ You would rather have an imperfect product in a customer's hands than a perfect design in a document. ~ You can make a technical stake land with leadership and frame a business stake for your team.
