Toronto ON, Toronto Census Division, ON; Ontario, Canada Super Proper Full-time
Performance Leadership: Full scope. Hands on. We need a senior performance media lead to step in and run our performance media function for six to eight weeks while our day to day lead is in-and-out on a well deserved break. We’re looking for someone to cover the same ground as a full time hire and get stuck in: you lead the team, own the client relationships and keep budgets on track.

You'll sit across our Search, Paid Social and Programmatic effort every day — building, auditing, troubleshooting and optimizing — not dropping in when something breaks.

You'll join a 20-person media team with 3-5 direct reports and live accounts across multiple clients. By the end of week one (with some remote onboardings from our in-role lead) you'll know where every account stands, what's underperforming and what's being done about it. If you pick up new clients, account structures and reporting stacks fast - and enjoy it - this is for you.

Super Proper is a multi-disciplinary advertising studio uniting creative, insight and performance experts under one roof. Launched in November 2024, we already work with Audi, Hasbro, Johnson & Johnson, Planet Fitness, FanDuel, UFC & WWE and more across US and Canadian markets. You'll work alongside a 28+ person creative and content studio, social strategists, CRM experts and our media planning team who sit across both Tadiem Inc. (our parent company) and Bensimon Byrne - one of Canada’s most long-standing advertising success stories.

What you'll do The work splits into three buckets: running the platforms, leading the team and clients, and owning reporting and measurement.

Run the platforms

Paid search:

manage Google Ads and Microsoft Ads hands-on — account structure, bidding, keyword and search-query management, Performance Max and Smart Bidding.

Paid social:

build and optimize across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Snap — Advantage+ setup, audiences, creative rotation and pacing.

Programmatic and video:

run display and YouTube — setup, inventory and brand safety, frequency and deal management.

Troubleshoot fast:

diagnose delivery issues, learning-phase resets, disapprovals and sudden performance drops — then fix them, not escalating them.

Optimize continuously:

make bid, budget, audience and creative calls on a daily and weekly cadence, with a rationale the team and clients can follow.

Know when to intervene:

use platform automation where it works, and step in where it doesn't.

Lead the team and clients

Manage the team day to day:

direct 3–5 performance and AdOps / activation staff — set priorities, unblock, QA their work and coach in the flow of work.

Own client relationships:

be the senior media voice on client calls. Present results, recommend budget and platform shifts, and handle the tough conversations with confidence.

Manage budgets and pacing:

oversee spend across multiple clients — pacing, reallocation and forecasting against targets.

Work with creative:

brief creative for performance and feed test results back into what gets made next.

Hand back cleanly:

leave every account documented — current status, open issues, live tests and next steps — so nothing drops when you roll off.

Own reporting and measurement This is a big part of the role, not a side task. There's a lot of reporting to cover, much of it tied to live client dashboards.

Run the reporting cycle:

oversee and where necessary check and correct weekly and monthly performance reporting across clients — delivered on time, accurate, and with clear commentary on what it means and what we're doing next.

Keep the dashboards healthy:

maintain and QA client dashboards in Looker Studio. Fix broken data connections and naming or taxonomy issues so what clients see matches what's in platform.

Fix tracking:

audit and troubleshoot conversion tracking across GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and Google enhanced conversions.

Reconcile the numbers:

explain gaps between platform-reported, GA4 and client source-of-truth data, credibly and in plain language.

Read tests properly:

keep live A/B, lift and incrementality tests on track, interpret results correctly and turn them into optimization decisions.

What you bring

8+ years in performance media , including at least 3 years leading teams in an agency or brand-side environment.

Current, daily platform fluency:

you're in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager now. Solid working knowledge of LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snap and programmatic DSPs.

Measurement depth:

strong in GA4 and GTM. You can debug a tracking issue, repair a broken dashboard and explain an attribution gap to a client — on the same day. Experien
