The relationships you build with children and families—and the milestones you help them achieve—will stay with you for a lifetime. ________________________________________ Lead engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with Alberta's Early Learning and Child Care Framework. Use creative, play-based learning techniques to support children's emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth. Provide support to children with daily care needs, including assistance with diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—such as Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Behavioral Consultant to implement tailored strategies that meet each child's unique needs. Build strong, supportive relationships with families to ensure they feel empowered and connected to their child's learning journey. Create a classroom environment that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Assess developmental progress, adapt learning plans, and continuously monitor outcomes to help each child thrive. ________________________________________ You're an experienced educator with a passion for creating inclusive, nurturing learning environments where children of all abilities and backgrounds can thrive. You excel in effective communication, building trust with families, collaborating seamlessly with teams, and fostering strong relationships. Your focus on results and service excellence drives you to create meaningful learning opportunities, while your strengths in planning, organizing, and coordinating ensure you can adapt to challenges with empathy and resilience. Bachelor's Degree in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Alberta Education Teaching Certificate (valid and in good standing). Experience working with children who have complex needs, including behavioral challenges or developmental delays. Willing participant in annual training in Safe Management practices (employer provided training). Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and inclusive teaching strategies. Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector completed obtained within 60-days of date of hire. Familiarity with Alberta's Early Learning and Child Care Framework. A love of hands-on, play-based learning (and maybe some great ideas for messy art projects). ________________________________________ This is temporary full-time 18 month position with an immediate start date working 40 hours per week.
