Working under the Manager of Plans Examination, you will focus on ensuring all building projects comply with local zoning laws. This role offers a supportive team environment where your contributions truly matter. Candidates should have two years of experience in a similar setting and a strong understanding of zoning by-laws along with effective communication skills for public interactions. Key Responsibilities:
- Review commercial and industrial drawings for compliance
- Liaise with contractors and property owners on zoning matters
- Analyze zoning by-law amendments for clarity
- Research and compile documentation for zoning requests
- Report and recommend on zoning by-law infractions
- Diploma in a related field such as planning or engineering
- Two years’ experience preferred in a municipal environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of zoning regulations
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Clean Class G Driver's licence required
