The Kativik Regional Government, which has its main office in Kuujjuaq, is looking for a reliable and resourceful person to work in the capacity of: Economic Development OfficerPERMANENT, FULL-TIME POSITION The Regional and Local Development Department (the RLD department) of the Kativik Regional Government (KRG) is seeking the services of an individual with strong administrative skills to work closely with the Department Director on files related to planning and implementation of businesses in Nunavik, business restructuring and loan management files. The selected candidate will:
- Provide direct operational/management assistance to Nunavik existing and new businesses (planning, accounting, organizing, financial management, troubleshooting, etc.);
- Assist promoters in implementing their business plans;
- Prepare business restructuring plans;
- Work with the Director of RLD department on promoters’ business loan issues;
- Prepare activity reports as required by the Director of RLD department;
- Work closely with the RLD department Director on any other files related to business management, loans and other tasks required by the Director;
- Travel to Nunavik Northern villages.
- possess a university degree in commerce or accounting. Exceptional relevant work experience will also be considered;
- have a minimum of 3 years of related experience (business management, accounting, taxation, etc) or pursuing studies related to business services requirements;
- have knowledge in financial management and various types of business: sole proprietor, corporate, partnership and cooperative
- be computer literate;
- be willing to receive training in business management;
- be willing to travel occasionally in Nunavik;
- be bilingual either in Inuktitut-English or Inuktitut-French
Salary: Minimum $60 074 to maximum $ 102 839 annually (Class 9)

POSTE PERMANENT À TEMPS PLEIN Le Service du développement régional et local (le service du DRL) de l’Administration régionale Kativik (ARK) est à la recherche d’une personne possédant de solides compétences administratives pour travailler en étroite collaboration avec le directeur du Service sur des dossiers liés à la planification et à la mise en œuvre d’entreprises au Nunavik, à la restructuration d’entreprises et à la gestion des prêts. Le candidat retenu doit :
- fournir une assistance directe en matière d’exploitation et de gestion aux entreprises existantes et nouvelles du Nunavik (planification, comptabilité, organisation, gestion financière, dépannage, etc.);
- aider les promoteurs à mettre en œuvre leurs plans d’affaires;
- préparer les plans de restructuration des entreprises;
- travailler avec le directeur du service du DRL sur les questions relatives aux prêts commerciaux des promoteurs;
- préparer les rapports d’activité requis par le directeur du service du DRL;
- travailler en étroite collaboration avec le directeur du service du DRL sur tout autre dossier lié à la gestion des affaires, des prêts et autres tâches requises par le directeur;
- se déplacer dans les villages nordiques du Nunavik.
- posséder un diplôme universitaire en commerce ou en comptabilité. Une expérience professionnelle pertinente sera également prise en considération;
- avoir un minimum de trois ans d’expérience connexe (gestion d’entreprise, comptabilité, fiscalité, etc.) ou poursuivre des études liées aux exigences des services aux entreprises;
- avoir des connaissances en gestion financière et dans les différents types d’entreprises : entreprise individuelle, société, partenariat et coopérative;
