Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 5N1 Duration: 6 months + extension Pay Rate: CAD $21/hr Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Position Summary: The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, mounting, and performing basic wiring of electrical and mechanical components according to standard layouts and customer drawings. This position also supports inventory control and sub-assembly functions while developing enhanced wiring skills under the guidance of a senior assembler. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and mount electrical, mechanical, and sub-assembly components onto panels, enclosures, and other structures by following standard layouts. Perform basic wiring for standard electrical options as per drawing packages and schematics. Wire non-standard electrical options under the direction of a more experienced assembler. Perform functionality tests such as continuity checks (buzzing out) to verify wiring accuracy. Complete all required checklists and documentation. Assemble enclosures and related structures as needed. Deliver completed sub-assemblies to designated production areas. Support inventory maintenance in the sub-assembly area by performing cycle counts, following standard material handling procedures, and using CSSM to access or update material information. Required Qualifications: High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent education. Hands-on mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read simple wiring diagrams or schematics. Good manual dexterity and comfort using hand and power tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with basic wiring schematic symbols. Experience working with electrical panels, control boxes, or industrial enclosures. Previous experience in electrical or electro-mechanical assembly environments.
