Temporary Educational Intervenor The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board is recruiting for Temporary, Educational Intervenor for Elementary and Secondary Schools. Assist deafblind students by providing information to help facilitate their participation in the visual/oral world around them Reinforce the educational programs in collaboration with the teacher, by adapting or modifying classroom materials to meet the specialized needs of students Facilitate and encourage the development of the students’ social skills, self-esteem and independence to their full potential through established programs and techniques classroom materials such as booklets, flash cards, etc. Transcribe and interline learning materials into Braille, e-text or enlarged print as required Secondary school graduate or equivalent Working knowledge of computers and assistive technology for students who are blind or visually impaired Ability to work effectively as a team member in co-operation with other school personnel, parents/guardians, students and resource personnel ____________________________________________________________________________________________ The WECDSB adheres to equitable hiring, employment and promotion practices and is committed to an inclusive workforce that reflects the diversity of our students.
