Lead Indigenous advocacy efforts with Odawa Relations as the Director of Government Relations. This pivotal role focuses on building client strategies and managing sensitive political interactions.

As a senior advisor, you will engage with First Nations leadership to navigate complex government relations and public policy landscapes. Your responsibilities include drafting briefing notes, monitoring legislative progress, and preparing for committee appearances. With a strong focus on relationship building and communication, this position requires both strategic insight and clear writing skills.



Key Responsibilities
• Advise First Nations leaders on political and policy priorities
• Develop advocacy strategies aligned with Nation objectives
• Monitor legislative activities and committee agendas
• Prepare clients for witness opportunities in government
• Draft briefing notes, committee submissions, and correspondence



Requirements:
• Minimum of eight years in government relations or strategic consulting
• Experience with First Nations and Indigenous organizations
• Understanding of First Nations rights and jurisdiction
• Strong political judgment and discretion
• Excellent writing and communication skills
