Teach choral Music at Crofton House School in Vancouver, using vocal technique and collaborative planning across Grades 4 to 7.
This full-time fixed-term contract covers a maternity leave during 2026–2027. As an experienced Music teacher, you will support young girls in the Junior School through student-centred, inquiry-based learning. The position emphasizes the revised BC Curriculum, diverse learners, and collaborative instruction with a teaching partner. You will contribute to a girl-centred environment serving Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7. The role also includes co-curricular leadership within a supportive professional community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement dynamic choral Music programs for Grades 4 to 7
- Develop vocal technique among Junior School girls
- Integrate the revised BC Curriculum into instruction
- Direct choirs, concerts, performances, and assembly Music
- Support the Junior School Spring Musical collaboratively
Requirements:
- Valid B.C. Ministry of Education Certification
- Educational background highlighting Music
- Required piano and vocal training
- Experience teaching Music to young children
- Ability to work collaboratively, innovatively, and flexibly
