Enhance student achievement as a Programmer Analyst with WECDSB. Leverage your programming skills, SQL expertise, and Power BI knowledge to support educational initiatives in a temporary role. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information Technology, the Programmer Analyst will focus on application and database development, data analysis, and reporting. Successful candidates will possess a degree in computer science or a related field and three years of experience in programming and analysis. Your role will encompass various software development methodologies, ensuring optimally functioning systems within the educational framework. Key Responsibilities:
- Apply SDLC principles for system development and support
- Use SQL for database communication and reporting tasks
- Design reports with Microsoft Power BI and SSRS
- Stay updated on the latest programming and security technologies
- Collaborate with staff while adhering to educational guidelines
- University degree or 3-year college diploma in IT
- Minimum three years in programming and analysis
- Proficiency in Visual Studio, SQL, and .Net
- Experience with RESTful APIs and object-oriented programming
- Effective communication and organizational skills
