Take the Lead on Complex Robotic Automation

We're partnering confidentially with a growing custom automation and systems integration organization seeking an experienced Robot Programmer to take technical ownership of sophisticated robotic systems used in advanced manufacturing.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone with deep FANUC programming experience who enjoys solving complex automation problems, commissioning equipment and seeing a robotic cell through from programming to production.

You'll work primarily across robotic welding and material-handling applications , while also helping develop junior programmers and improve programming standards across future projects.

What You'll Own

  • Program and commission FANUC robotic systems

  • Develop robot paths, program structures and offline programs

  • Configure robot I/O, weld interfaces and PLC communications

  • Support servo resistance, arc and spot welding applications

  • Program material-handling applications

  • Troubleshoot complex robotic and automation issues

  • Configure communications and network architecture between automation devices

  • Support installation, startup and commissioning at customer facilities

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

  • Support development of robot templates and programming architecture

  • Mentor junior Robot Programmers and provide technical guidance

  • Work closely with Controls, Mechanical, Electrical and Project teams throughout delivery

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 7+ years of hands-on robot programming experience

  • Strong FANUC programming expertise

  • Significant experience within custom automation

  • Hands-on robotic welding and/or material-handling experience

  • Strong understanding of robotic coordinate systems and program flow

  • Experience commissioning robotic cells

  • Strong troubleshooting capability

  • Familiarity with offline robot programming/simulation

  • Working knowledge of industrial communications such as Ethernet/IP

  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

  • Valid driver's license and passport

  • Ability to travel to customer facilities across North America

Highly Valued

  • KUKA, Yaskawa or ABB experience

  • Servo resistance welding

  • Spot welding

  • Arc welding

  • Automotive automation

  • Robot safety systems and standards

  • PLC/HMI exposure

  • Technical leadership or mentorship experience

Who Will Thrive Here?

You're the programmer people turn to when a robotic cell isn't behaving the way it should.

You can move comfortably between offline programming, robot setup, welding applications, troubleshooting and commissioning, and you understand the realities of getting custom automation running successfully on a production floor.

You also enjoy sharing what you know and helping less experienced programmers become stronger technically.
