- Full-Stack Developer to support a long-term federal government initiative within the National Capital Region. The successful candidate will provide full-stack software development and application support for in-house software products. The role focuses heavily on Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, supporting both front-end user interfaces and back-end data layers. The developer will work collaboratively with stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts and technical team members in an Agile environment to develop, enhance, maintain and document business applications. The position is hybrid within the Ottawa/Gatineau National Capital Region, with on-site work required based on operational needs. Develop, enhance and maintain full-stack applications using Oracle APEX, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers. Design and enhance Oracle APEX user interfaces and application workflows. Translate user stories, business requirements and user-research findings into UI designs, workflows, wireframes and prototypes. Support in-house applications across both user-interface and database layers. Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives. Use development and lifecycle tools including Oracle SQL Developer, Azure DevOps and Git. Produce and maintain software design, architecture, code, process and technical documentation. Follow established development, testing, release, configuration-management and code-promotion processes. Ensure compliance with applicable information-security, data-handling and Government of Canada accessibility requirements. Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, science, computer science, mathematics or a technology-related discipline, or recognized equivalent. Minimum 120 months (10 years) of experience within the last 180 months working as a software developer and/or database modeller. Minimum 24 months of Oracle Application Express (APEX) development experience within the last 60 months. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining applications using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Must hold a valid Secret-level federal government security clearance. Must be available to work on-site within the Ottawa/Gatineau National Capital Region as required. Extensive Oracle APEX development experience. Extensive Oracle PL/SQL experience. Experience translating user stories, business requirements or user-research findings into UI designs, workflows, wireframes or prototypes. Recent experience with Microsoft Access. Recent experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps. Recent experience with Oracle SQL Developer. Recent experience with Unified Codes APEX Office Print (AOP). Experience working in federal government environments. Experience with Agile software-development teams and Git/version-control practices. Long-term federal government project opportunity.
