Drive safety excellence with Pomerleau as a Health and Safety Coordinator, ensuring compliance and proactive health measures across construction projects. Your efforts will directly impact site safety and worker wellbeing. As a key member of Pomerleau’s health and safety team, you will oversee safety for construction initiatives valued from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager and project supervisors to implement safety protocols and engage in risk assessment activities. Your expertise will help maintain a secure environment for on-site personnel and promote a culture of safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce compliance with safety standards
- Participate in safety program development
- Monitor site coordination and safety activities
- Conduct workplace inspections and risk evaluations
- Investigate incidents and maintain safety records
- Post-secondary education in health and safety is an asset
- Valid CNESST certification required
- Minimum of 3 years in a health and safety capacity in construction
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations
