A major global financial services institution is partnering with us to hire a Data Loss Prevention Specialist for their growing Montreal team. This pivotal role will ensure the transition of enterprise DLP capabilities to the new platform. A crucial part of this position will be in in protecting the firm's sensitive data by ensuring that all DLP policies, rules, configurations, and enforcement workflows are accurately migrated, optimized, validated, and enhanced on the new platform. The successful candidate brings strong experience in DLP policy engineering , a deep understanding of data protection controls , and hands-on experience with enterprise DLP data migration. Responsibilities; Lead and support the migration of DLP policies, rules, and configurations from the current platform to the new enterprise DLP solution. Map existing DLP detection logic, classification rules, incident workflows, and group scoping to the new platform Validate and refine existing DLP rulesets to ensure accuracy, coverage, and alignment with regulatory and business requirements making sure nothing slips through the gaps throughout the migration. Optimize and configure policies to improve fidelity, reduce alert fatigue, and strengthen detection accuracy across channels. Provide post-migration guidance on policy behavior, alert handling, and monitoring expectations. Ensure all DLP rules comply with relevant standards, laws and policies Produce detailed project documentation including migration plans, mapping matrices, testing results, and configuration changes. Qualifications & Experience; 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DLP policy management , engineering, or implementation. Proven experience in migrating DLP platforms . Familiarity with managing DLP platforms (e.g., Symantec , McAfee , Digital Guardian , Forcepoint , etc.) and cloud-based DLP solutions . Experience working with IAM/AD/LDAP, RBAC , and group-based policy scoping. Ability to troubleshoot, refine, and optimize DLP policies to maximize detection accuracy while minimizing disruptions. Proficiency in scripting or automation tools for DLP policy management (e.g., PowerShell , Python ). Experience with cloud-based DLP solutions and integrations (e.g., Microsoft 365 , AWS , Google Workspace ). We thank all applicants for their time.
