Embrace a long-term teaching position at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, focusing on French as a Second Language at Holy Trinity and John Sweeney schools. This opportunity is set to begin immediately and continues until approximately June 30, 2027. WCDSB is seeking a Certified Occasional Teacher to fill a 100% long-term occasional (LTO) teaching role. Ideal candidates should have French qualifications or an interest in teaching French. Both internal and external certified teachers are encouraged to apply and contribute to the educational growth of over 30,000 learners. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French as a Second Language effectively
- Engage students in creative language learning activities
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Maintain records of student performance
- Certified Occasional Teacher status in Ontario
- Preferred French qualifications or relevant background
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Recent teacher performance appraisal (if applicable)
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check required
