Manage Canadian e-commerce accounting remotely using QuickBooks Online and cash-basis accounting expertise. Set up reliable operations and maintain accurate financial records.
This part-time accountant will establish and manage accounting operations for a Canadian B2C e-commerce business. The role requires at least five years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce. Responsibilities include bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up QuickBooks Online and the chart of accounts
- Manage financial inputs, outputs, and daily bookkeeping
- Record transactions, sales, refunds, and expenses
- Reconcile payments and maintain accurate financial data
- Prepare monthly statements and Canadian tax documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of accounting experience
- Preferably, experience supporting e-commerce businesses
- Strong expertise in QuickBooks Online
- Experience with cash-basis accounting and payment reconciliations
- Knowledge of Canadian corporate tax and GST/HST documentation
