Lead underground utility crews as CapWest’s Civil Underground Utility Foreman, applying hands-on expertise across watermain, sewer, and storm installations. Work outdoors on construction sites.
This foreman role supervises operators, pipelayers, and laborers delivering civil underground infrastructure. You will plan installations, interpret drawings, coordinate with project stakeholders, and uphold safety, quality, productivity, and documentation standards. The position requires experienced field leadership and utility construction knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily activities of underground utility crews
- Plan watermain, sanitary, storm, and service installations
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, engineers, and authorities
- Enforce trench safety, shoring, dewatering, and excavation practices
- Complete reports, time tracking, and as-built documentation
Requirements:
- Five or more years of civil underground utility construction experience
- Foreman or lead hand experience
- Knowledge of underground utility methods and materials
- Ability to interpret civil construction drawings
- Valid driver’s license required
