Groundwater fieldwork and hydrogeology projects define this Junior Hydrogeologist/Geologist opportunity with Onterris in Guelph or Oakville, Ontario. Travel across Ontario exceeds 50%.
Support hydrogeological assessments, contaminated site investigations, and regulatory groundwater monitoring programs as a junior professional. Work alongside senior geoscientists and engineers while developing technical and regulatory expertise. Projects span mining, infrastructure, energy, and municipal sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support hydrogeology and groundwater project delivery
- Conduct soil and groundwater sampling during field programs
- Assist monitoring well installation and aquifer testing
- Oversee borehole drilling, field logging, and sample custody
- Prepare reports, work plans, and regulatory submissions
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related field
- One to three years of relevant experience
- Groundwater field experience including sampling or aquifer testing
- Working knowledge of Ontario groundwater regulations
- Valid, clean Class G driver's license without restrictions
